American Foxhound

One of the American Kennel Club’s rarest listed breeds, the American Foxhound is a cousin to the English Foxhound, though a bit taller. It’s has a bark, or bay, that can be heard over extremely long distances. The American Foxhound dog has a sweet and gentle temperament and is wonderful with children and other dogs and pets. They love to track a scent, so training is recommended to keep them from following their hunting instincts.
