Boxer

The Boxer is a cheerful and good-natured dog breed whose origins trace back to Germany in the late 1800s. They were bred from English Bulldogs and an extinct Mastiff breed, the Bullenbeisser. Large and muscular, Boxer dogs are known for their unique square heads. They are good with children and very protective. Boxers are active and playful and require exercise and play to keep them happy. The name Boxer purportedly comes from its habit of standing on its hind legs and using his front paws as a “boxer” would.
