Bulldog

The Bulldog or English Bulldog is a muscular, medium-sized dog that was developed in England from ancient mastiff dogs. Their name comes from their participation in a “sport” called Bull Baiting, where dogs would be matched up against tethered bulls, a practice that was banned in the early 19th century. They are known for their wrinkled face and short noses. Despite their past, today Bulldogs make great family pets who are gentle and terrific with kids.
