The Doberman Pinscher is a medium to large sized dog that was developed by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann in Germany in the late 1800s. The breeds used to create the Doberman Pinscher are not known, but some speculate that its likely a mixture of many breeds including the Rottweiler, German Pinscher, and Black and Tan Terrier. They are said to have a "noble" appearance. Doberman Pinschers make outstanding guard dogs and are often used for military and police work. They are also very intelligent, especially when it comes to obedience commands. Today's Doberman Pinschers are generally not bred to be aggressive and make for good nature pets that are easy to train.
