The German Shorthaired Pointer was developed in the 1800s as a hunting dog in Germany. They have webbed feet and are adept at hunting on both land and water. They have powerful, streamlined bodies with waterproof coat, floppy ears and a long, strong muzzle for retrieving prey. The German Shorthaired Pointer or GSP likely descended from a breed of dog called the German Bird Dog. Like most sporting dogs, the German Shorthaired Pointer requires lots of exercise. They make for great family pets that is intelligent and easy to train. They are good with children but can be a little rough when they’re young.
We offer a nice collection of personalized and custom (or not) gifts for German Shorthaired Pointer lovers including t-shirts, coffee cups, Galaxy & iPhone cases, and vinyl decals.
