The Sealyham Terrier is a rare breed of dog that originated in Wales. They were originally developed in the late 1800s as working dogs and to hunt foxes, badgers, and otters. Their name comes from the estate of their breeder, Sealyham House, in Haverfordwest, Wales. Sealyham Terriers are outgoing and friendly dogs and are typically considered to be more reserved than other terrier breeds. They still possess a terrier bark and can make great watchdogs. They love being part of the family and get along great with children and other pets with proper training and socialization.
