The Tibetan Mastiff is a breed of dog that originated in Tibet. They have been used by Tibetan Nomads for thousands of years as guardians of everything from herds to palaces. Tibetan Mastiffs are not true Mastiff dogs. They were called Mastiffs by Europeans who used that term to describe most large dogs and they name has stuck. They are enormous dogs however, with the largest of males reaching weights of close to 200 pounds. Despite their huge size, Tibetan Mastiff are companion dogs and thrive on being with people. They are intelligent and loving dogs but can be challenging for inexperienced dog owners. They are loyal family guardians and make great pets if properly trained and socialized.
We offer a great collection of custom and personalized (or not) gifts for Tibetan Mastiff lovers including coffee cups, t-shirts, and iPhone & Galaxy cases.
