The Vizsla is a medium-size dog breed that originated in Hungary. They have a history that dates back thousands of years where they were utilized as pointers and retrievers by the Magyar tribes of the Great Hungarian Plain and Pannonian Basin. The Vizsla dog has lots of energy and require plenty of exercise. They are gentle and loving dogs who form close and affectionate bonds with their owners and family. They are great with Children. They may bark at strangers and can be good watchdogs when trained, but generally they get along well with all people. They are often referred to as "velcro dogs" due to their preference of staying by their owner's side.
