The Wire Fox Terrier is a breed of dog that originated in England. They were developed to hunt fox, boar, badgers and other small game and are believed to have descended from now extinct Black and Tan Terrier. They are high energy, intelligent dogs that, as of 2014, have won more “Best in Show” titles (14) at Westminster Kennel Club than any other breed. They are friendly with people but are known to pick fights with other dogs, so early socialization and training is a must.
